Outlast

What was the scariest game you have ever played? Did it have jump scares? Were you tempted to play it in the dark? Well, the games that I have played which was the most scariest was Outlast. Some of you might think, "Oh, that game..psh, that's not scary". Well, imagine, you, playing it in a room, that was dark, all by yourself. Well, I played it once in the dark. This game was scary because it has jump scares, and I mean A LOT of jump scares that you don't think will scare you, but they will. That game is basically about a mental hospital being full of infected people, it's like zombies, but they aren't zombies. These people that are "infected" are smart, can talk, and know what they are doing. You basically have to look for clues in the game. Therefore, it turns put to be bad because there are things everywhere running after you and trying to stop from what you are doing. 

Not only, does this game have a good storyline, jump scares, nor some scary stuff, but it also has really good graphics. The game has really good graphics that seem real. The blood is perfectly real but is just a game. And the way that it looks when the creature runs towards to you but you aren't allowed to go back because it will eventually go slow. Overall, I really recommend this game if you enjoy playing horror games then you should play this game. 

PS4

As you all know, the PS4 is officially released and many have gone to purchase it on Black Friday. Though it might have been hard to get it since people get crazy while shopping. The PS4 is much better, in my opinion, because it has improved more when it comes to technology. Now,smoke of you probably have already purchased it and might know how to use it, but there are a few things people should know about the PS4. Some of you might think, "Oh, I already know what to do, I don't need to know additional information". Well, that's your choice, wether you want to know, or you don't. 

Things you should know about the PS4:

1. PlayStation Plus is recommendable. Why? Well, the PlayStation Plus allows players to interact online and play games with their friends. You will also need it to gain access to PS4's ability to download game updates right away. Therefore, you won't need to download services like Netflix, Amazon, nor Hulu on your PS4 console. 

2. The PS4 comes with the system itself, a power cable, and HDMI cable, a DualShock 4 controller, and a USB cable. The PS4 will be released with a mono headset for the players that talk to others when playing. The HDMI will only work and connect to the console. The DualShock 4 controllers cannot be purchased elsewhere because it will not include the cable it comes with the console. 

3. The PS4 was released on Black Friday at midnight. The system was released in Latin America, Australia, and Europe on November 29. It was released on February 22 in Japan. The PS4 was $100 cheaper than the Xbox One, which was a good price. 

4. Like other systems, they can sometimes have some minor glitches, which annoys most players. Some users say that they have had problems logging into the PlayStation network due to the high volume of new users since many have purchased the console. It always works to be patient with the new console and the network since some kinks are not to be forced. 

The Walking Dead

As you all know, The Walking Dead "story" is not only in a show but also in video games. The release date is different because they released it on different dates for the different consoles and episodes. But overall, the game is about a group of people surviving a zombie apocalypse and throughout the journey, people die, bad things happen. The first episode is called, "A New Day." It's about Lee rescuing a young girl named Clementine who hopes to find her parents and they join with other survivors in Macon. The first episode was released April 24, 2012 for Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. For IOS, it was released on July 36, 2012. The second episode is called "Starved For Help" which talks about right after securing a motel, Lee and the other survivors run low on food, and decide to take an offer made by the St. Johns, a family who own a nearby dairy farm. They come to learn the St. Johns may not be what they seem. This episode was released on June 27, 2012 for Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. For IOS, it was released on August 29, 2012. The third episode is called, "Long Road Ahead" and it's about bandits and walkers attack the motel, the group is forced to flee without their supplies, leading to tensions on the road and the group find an operating train, heading to Savannah, where Clementine hopes to find her parents. This episode was released on August 28, 2012 for Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. For IOS, it was released on October 18, 2012. The fourth episode is called "Around Every Corner" and it's about the survivors find Savannah overrun with walkers. Upon finding a boat, they make plans to secure supplies from the fortified community of Crawford, only to learn that it too has been overrun. Clementine is kidnapped by a mysterious man, and Lee gets bitten, leaving him little time to save her. This episode was released on October 9, 2012 for Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. For IOS, it was released on November 8, 2012. The fifth episode is called "No Time Left" which is known as the last episode and it's about Lee and the other survivors head towards a hotel where Clementine is held. Lee continues on alone when the group gets separated. The man at the hotel holds a grudge against Lee for indirectly causing the death of his family, but Lee soon overpowers him and saves Clementine. On the verge of turning, Lee makes sure that Clementine will be safe. This episode was released on November 20, 2012 for Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. For IOS, it was also released on November 20, 2012. They added an additional episode called 400 days which focuses on five new characters. 

As it got better and people who played it have been waiting for a sequel to the game since the ending wasn't good of an official ending. That's when the new sequel comes, The Walking Dead Season 2, which has been announced for this month. Season 1 left off when Clementine sees two people walk from a far away distance, she eventually met 2 characters. The first episode for season 2 will be called "All That Remains" and will be released on PC, PlayStation 3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. The date is not officially been announced but it will be coming soon.

I'm sure we've all been to a GameStop nearby to buy games that we want. Well, the good news is that GameStop will be selling new games that are barely coming out this month of November though the months of December to February. New games include NBA, Walking Dead, Assassin's Creed, Need For Speed, Zombicide, Call Of Duty, Battlefield, FIFA, Madden NFL, Adventure Time, etc.. GameStop has a website where you can see when it will be released, how much it's going to be, and the chance to pre-order it. I will include the URL where you can check it out and get the chance to pre-order it. 

NBA Live 14 will be released on November 19 for all consoles. Walking Dead Game of the Year Edition for PlayStation 3 and for Xbox 360 will be released November 19. Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag for PC will be released on November 19. Need for Speed: Rivals for PlayStation 3, PC, and Xbox 360 will be released on November 19. Call of Duty: Ghosts Prestige Edition will be released on November 19. FIFA and Madden NFL will be released on November 19. Battlefield 4 will also be released on November 19. Most of the games will be released on November 19. By saying released, I mean by the time the game will be on sale at GameStop. Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag

Well as you all know, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag was released worldwide for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on October 29, 2013. But for different consoles, there will be different dates in which it will be released. Like all the other Assassin's Creed games, they all had a good storyline and good graphics. But the different thing about the 4th one that was just released has even better graphics. No matter which system you play it on, it will be known as the worlds best looking game of 2013. I'm sure that the best thing about this game is the graphics they included in the gameplay. Not many might think the graphics are important but for some it can be. The storyline is as good as the graphics but in my opinion, I think the graphics are better then anything else since the gamer would like a game with good graphics instead of bad. 

The game includes three main cities which is Havana, Kingston, and Bahamas which reside under Spanish, British, and pirate influence, the main character of this game is Edward Kenway who is known to be a British pirate and a member of the Assassin Order. Some of the other characters include from Assassin's Creed III like the father of Haytham Kenway and the grandfather. The rest of the players in this game are pirates who are Edward "Blackbeard" Thatch, Benjamin Hornigold, Anne Bonny, Calico Jack, and Charles Vane. The story is divided in two halves which include present day and in historical days. These are the basic things to know about the game such as the setting and the characters. Assassin's Creed

Many of you guys know that the game Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag is going to be released on October 29 of this year which will be exciting for those fans of Assassin's Creed. Since the game is being released in about 3 days, I decided to make a topic about the UBI Work Shop of Assassin's Creed items that people can buy. I will put the link at the bottom including pictures of some items that includes to buy. This is a website, therefore, ordering online is required, I don't think there is a store that I haven't heard of, but of there is a store, please feel free to add the location for those who don't really like to order online. Anyways, this is a good place to but Assassin's Creed items including stickers, belts, pins, books, flags, t-shirts, jewelry, hats, and best of all, the sweaters.

What I think that most of you would like to buy are the sweaters since it's so cool to wear them. Now, some of the items can be a little expensive but it won't hurt to try and earn money and saving it to buy it yourself. PS4

As you all know, the PS4 is coming soon. It will be on sale in November 2013 which people should be pre-ordering it. The most fantastic news is that it will be cheaper than the Xbox One. In the US, it will cost $399 and  in the UK £349. The official PS4 release date was announced at Gamescom 2013. The console will be on sale in the US on November 15 and in the UK it will be on sale on November 29 Now, you may be wondering how much cheaper is it than the Xbox One, well, here is your answer, it is $100 cheaper. 

Now the PS4 is really different that the other types of PS consoles. The PS4 control is now touch screen, it don't have the dual shock. The console has better graphics than the PS3. The design of the PS4 looks professional. But it still contains that same type of idea.

The memory of the PS4 is much better than the other types that they have made. The PS4 will ship pack 8GB of GDDR5 memory. Overall, it contains super-fast items and enables lighting fast performance. 

The Last Of Us

The Last of Us is known as a horror, adventure, survival game. It was released on June 14, 2013. The storyline of the game is that twenty years have passed and there has been infected humans which are also known as zombies running and attacking the survivors. Joel and Ellie, the main characters, are the only survivors, but they eventually meet new survivors in their journey across the country. This game was highly ranked as a good game. I have not played it yet, but hoping to play it soon. I've seen people play it on YouTube, though it doesn't feel the same when they play it. It's better to play it yourself, in my opinion. Anyways, this game is really good on effects and the storyline makes so much sense when playing it. When playing, the graphics and details look real. The way how the "zombies" are formed look detailed when it comes to the wrinkles, the blood, the noises it makes, etc.. The graphics when you walk outside or inside a building are really good. It looks realistic. When it comes to the character talking, or breathing heavily, it sounds as if you were that one who was actually breathing heavily. 

The fact that it involves surviving zombies makes you think like the Walking Dead. It also seems to be like it but unlike The Walking Dead, they describe the people as actual zombies, in the Last of Us, they describe it as infected people. Which is the same but some people think that there is a difference. They are both really good games but the Walking Dead doesn't have that much good graphics like The Last of Us, yet it has a good storyline just like The Last of Us. However, the difference between the Last of Us and the Walking Dead is that in the Last of Us, you don't make choices of what you want to do, it's just like a normal game. But, The Walking Dead does actually give you the chance to pick what you want to see happen, and at the send of the game, it will tell you how many people picked what you pick or on the other choices. The Crooked Man

There was a crooked man and he walked a crooked mile, 

He found a crooked sixpence upon a crooked stile.

He bought a crooked cat, which caught a crooked mouse.

And they all lived together in a little crooked house. 

If I were to tell you, that this became into a horror games, would you believe me? Well, sadly, this children's poem did become a horror game. It involves a crooked man, but not the cat, the mouse, nor the crooked house. For those who haven't played the actual game, I'm going to talk about the intro and what you would expect if you had the guts to get it and play. This game involves anime-like characters, it contains pictures, and it contains some disturbing images. In other words, when the disturbing images come out, it's kind if like a jump scare. 

Anyways, the beginning of the game will start with the title page, obviously. It looks something like this:

You will click start to start playing the game. After that, the first thing that pops out is what the game will contain which is some harsh and disturbing images. When that fades away, a poem is to be read. Which is the poem that started this post. 

When finishing reading that poem, the game starts like this: 

It includes a dialogue of people talking. If I were you, I would read it out loud, since it would be more fun. 

The main character and the one who you will be playing as is David. He just moved in and his two friends, Marion and Paul. They chat and eventually leave which gives you a chance to get to know that house a bit more. As you can see, it doesn't look like a nice house, but it kind of goes with what happens to David. Anyways, you then notice a paper on the table, which is Paul's divers license. You decide to want to take it to him but then stop because you hear talking. It doesn't say who was talking but the conversation talks about the place being horrible and old. So David decides to give Paul's drivers license another time. There are two more rooms and they look something like this:

After that, you go back to your "room" and hear the telephone ring. You obviously answer it but no one answers. So you decode to go to bed, and while sleeping, you hear someone crying. So you decide to go look who it is, you go out and the hallways look like this:

So you have to knock doors until one door actually answers. But it's a woman's voice, and the crying was a man's voice so it couldn't be that door.

GTA 5

Well, I'm sure everyone has the game Grand Theft Auto 5 since it came out on September 17, 2013. I heard that it was a better game than the previous types. The storyline is good, especially the graphics! I'm sure everyone that got it is happy that they actually got the game. But for those who haven't had the chance to purchase it, I recommend it. The graphics are awesome, the storyline is good. Even though you haven't purchased it, I'm going to describe to you the basic stuff of the game and how it's starts. 

The game starts obviously with the first mission which involves Michael who is the main character of the game with Trevor making appearances. After 9 years passed, Trevor and his three compatriots are part in a bank robbery, but it didn't go as well as they thought it would. Herd the bankers into the back room by shouldering your weapon and pointing at them. They run off, storm in, and grab the cash that they were planning to get. In the game, a guard will grab your friend, when this happens, you should shoulder your weapon and take careful aiming his head greasing him with a single shot. You then take cover at the edge of the garage doors dry to pick off the cops from the distance. Slowly, advance as you go on, but careful because the cops will try to flank you mostly on your left. You move up to the campers and go running down the hill heading to the car. When driving the car, be gentle while steering and stay on the right lane to avoid collusion on the oncoming police. Stay on the road you are on! Don't move to other crossroads or any other way, that would be the wrong way and that would make your mission end.

Are you a True Gamer?

Ever wondered if you were known as a true gamer? Well, I'm going to share some of my thoughts on what a true gamer really is and how the attitude is taken when playing games. In my thoughts, a true gamer plays mostly everyday. They will play when done doing homework, done eating, done showering, or done doing chores. That is a true gamer. A big thing about. True gamer is the attitude they take when playing a game. Whenever I play a game, I always get mad whenever I get killed or I lose. I don't like the feeling of being of the losing team. The attitude of a gamer is important because there are some that say they are gamers but don't play games at all. When l play Minecraft, I always get mad whenever a creeper blows me up or blows up my house that I made. Some of you might think that getting angry of you die is not a gamer, it's just anger problems, well that's what you think, but I could careless of what you think. 

On the other hand, there are girls that think they are gamers just because they are holding a controller and taking a picture of themselves saying that they are gamers. To me, that's not a true gamer. A true gamer would also always talk about games in a conversation. Now, some friends might think about you as annoying when it comes to talking about games in the middle of a conversation. Also, I don't think that a person that doesn't care about the graphics is a gamer. A gamer would always look on the graphics and the storyline. Games that are pixelated and are blurry are just games that were made just to make money. Games with good graphics are the best to play of you enjoy. Not many would consider themselves a gamer, but at least you enjoy playing games and well, I think that's enough to consider yourself a "gamer." Hopefully you enjoyed reading this! Which Games have Bad Graphics or a Bad Storyline?

Ever wondered what games you shouldn't get even though you think they might be a "good" game to you? Well, here are two games that you should NEVER get when ever you're going to plan to buy a new game. And if you have this game, I suggest you throw it away or sell it. Anyways, one game that has terrible graphics would be The Expandables 2 videogames was released on July 31, 2012. Now, I haven't played this game, nor I want to. But I did look at reviews and pictures, and well, it does look like a bad game with bad graphics. I mean, really? Looking at the pictures makes me think, nope, I ain't getting this game at all. Some of the bad graphics I can see that it is a bad game is the way the people are formed, their faces looked deformed, no offense. When it comes to the blood, it looks like red paint splattered everywhere. In other games, they show blood way better than in this game. But everyone think differently ina way. Also, what is also bad in this game is the way it looks. It sort of pixilated in a way, but who knows, that's probably the games fault. 

Now, the game Superman for Nientendo 64 has both bad graphics and a bad storyline. When looking at a game called Superman, you think, oh well your playing as Superman and flying around saving people from danger, obviously. Think agian, in this type of game, you are playing as superman, but the graphics are horrible! It's all pixelated and blurry. No gamer wants a game with that type of game graphics. Another thing is the storyline. The storyline doesn't really involve a story in it, just makes you control Supermand and you just fly around a small city in circles and circles. Who would want to waste their time just flying around in circles getting pints just because you flew through a golden circle. Well, anyways, these are the games that were known as the games with bad graphics and bad storylines. Hopefully you will take my word and not buy this games, unless you enjoy it, then I don't recall you as a gamer. 

Which games have good graphics or a good storyline?

Looking for a game with good graphics, or with a good storyline? Today, I'm going to talk a little bit about one game having good graphics and another game with a good storyline. Sometimes, when there's a new game being released, many get it all in one day once it's out. Instead of waiting to see the reviews about the game, they'd rather get it and waste money if they didn't really like the game. The new game Grand Theft Auto 5 was released on September 17, 2013 and I'm sure many gamers got it right when it was released. But thankfully, the game came out to be good at graphics than the previous Grand Theft Auto games. The reviews were better than the others and were more based on the graphics. So, if you are looking for a game with good graphics, most likely get Grand Theft Auto 5 since some people have already gotten it and it seems to be a good game. I will be purchasing Grand Theft Auto 5 and I'll most likely make a post about it if there are people that aren't able to purchase it. So a little something to think about after buying a game that is barely releasing is not to get it right away because you might not like it, and you just wasted money to but a game that you didn't like.

On the other hand, there are games with good graphics but contain a terrible storyline for the game. Some games have good storylines, but contain bad graphics. The Walking Dead game was known as one of the games containing a good storyline. Unlike the game The Last Of Us, The Walking Dead was actually better at making the storyline better. Even thought both games have the same idea of the zombie apocalypse, one game will have something the other doesn't have. As experience, I have played The Walking Dead, and I also agree that it does have a good storyline. It might not be like the actual T.V show, but at least it has the same idea of surviving zombies. I would recommend The Walking Dead because obviously it has a good storyline, it's a touching story at the end, and the game itself will allow to have it your way. Games I Recommend

Looking for a game to play? In the past posts, I've mentioned what games I play and that I would recommend. Well, I would recommend horror games because you can have more fun playing it when it gets intense. Even though you make a disgusting or scared face that might look funny, at least your having fun playing it. The reason why I like playing horror games is that it gets intense, it gets fun when playing with someone, and it feels good to feel your heart race. Most of you might not like horror games, but that's what I would recommend. If you don't like horror games, another type of game I recommend to play is funny games. For example, a funny game can be Happy Wheels. I'll describe the games as we go on, but I'm going to describe more horror games. 

The first game is Outlast. Outlast is a horror game that is first-person. You're the person playing inside the game recording the things you see when exploring a place that is filled with walking and creepy monsters. In this game, there are jump scares, just letting you know. Because some people play games and don't notice that there are jump scares, so when a jump scare appears, it can be deadly for the person to experience it. However, it is fun when your a gamer that likes intense games. I would recommend  the game Outcome because when I was playing it with my brother, it was known as the most scariest horror game ever played. 

The second game I want to talk about is Slender: The Arrival. This is also known as another scary horror game but not as scary as Outcome. There was another type of Slenderman game before this one. But that game didn't have enough good graphics on the place and the actual Slenderman. But when the arrival came, it was better in graphics because the person you are playing breathes more heavily and you are able to run a bit faster than the old kind. Also, there are more places to explore than just trees, a truck, or huge pipes. In the arrival, there are more places and the trees look more realistic than how they were before. 

The third game is a funny game that I think most gamers have played it before which is Happy Wheels. I like playing Happy Wheels because it's hilarious when things just happen for no reason. Also, when talking about a specific topic, it can happen in the game. For example, of you say "That would be funny if I killed my own son", that sentence could happen in the game all of a sudden. I said son because there are different characters you can choose from to play as but not all levels do they have that choice.

Since the majority if the entire world goes on YouTube to watch videos, movies, news, and just random, I mostly watch people play games. For example, I enjoy watching Pewdiepie, Tobuscus, and Cry play games. They are the ones that made me want to play The Crooked Man, Happy Wheels, Slenderman, and other games. They post videos of themselves playing videos using a webcam to see their expressions when they play a horror game or other types of games. I'm sure there are other people playing games, post it on YouTube, and want to be noticed just like some YouTubers. But, not everyone is going to like your videos just as much as the videos of the famous YouTubers.

 

Pewdiepie is known as one of the most famous YouTuber's in the entire YouTube since he is entertaining, awesome, and played horror games with a webcam. But sometimes, when one watches his videos, some can get offended because he cusses more than once when he is in the middle of playing a game. Why? Because since he's used to playing more horror games than other types of games, he cusses when he gets scared by a jump scare. But overall, in my opinion, he is a fantastic gamer. What I really like about him is that he calls ALL his subscribers his bro's. I'm sure that all his subscribers like the idea of being a bro when subscribing. I also like that he made a bro army and at the end of each video he makes, he will always end it with a "brofist" which is the best part, in my opinion. Tobuscus is also a gamer that plays horror games and comedy games. For example, now a days, he's playing Amnesia: Machine for Pigs and began playing Outlast. He is a person who doesn't cuss, therefore, that makes him to be more funnier. He had played Happy Wheels, Minecraft, and other games. Some things that I like about Tobuscus is that he's funny and can entertain, he makes up a song once in a while about a game like Assassin's Creed and he even includes videos about his dog, Gryphon in his personal channel. I recommend this YouTuber and subscribe to his personal channel and his gaming channel! :)

Cry is also a gamer on YouTube that players different kinds of games but mostly horror games. What the sad thing about him is that he will not show his true identity therefore he doesn't use webcam just like Pewdiepie and Tobuscus. However, he does record his voice which makes it better whole playing  games. He can be compared to Pewdiepie because he also cusses. But don't let that stop you from watching his videos. I suggest that you go check his channel and subscribe! :)

Life of a High School Student/Gamer

I'm in high school and sometimes it can ruin some people's life. But life in high school can be hard when being a gamer because you want to spend more time playing games than doing homework, projects, presentations, book reviews, etc. Sometimes I'd rather play games and then forget about school, but that leads you to bad grades. It's harder than you think it is, doing homework fast to get over it and play games can hurt your grade and you might not be able to graduate at that point. I'm one of this people that are nerds and make sure I have good grades. How do I do that? Being in high school, having homework, and playing games, well sadly, there's less time to play games. But look on the bright side, you got good grades and might graduate! 

Since tests and quizzes are included as a class, it's better to spend time to study than playing more games. I've had friends that haven't spent too much time studying and they eventually get bad grades. Spending time to study and doing all the homework will be better. By the way, with some parents, if their teenager gets bad grades and would rather play games, well, some will eventually get grounded. That's why getting good grades, and playing for a short period of time will get you there. I'm sure you guys are probably thinking that I'm not a gamer if I do my schoolwork instead of gaming. But if you think that, go ahead, at least I'm not one of those girls that think they are gamers, but they really aren't. They just take pictures of themselves with a controller or of a console and say that they are gamers. Not sure about you guys, but this is my opinion, of you don't agree, well then, that's your opinion.
